Although it has a very similar name, Tooting Common is a quite historically different place to the adjoining Tooting Bec Common. It is wild and fallow in many places which allows the common to attract some interesting examples of flora and wildlife that would otherwise not be seen in such an urban inner city area. The common is a popular place for locals to relax and play throughout the year.
