Tower Hamlets History Archive contains an extensive collection pertaining to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets which is essentially the ‘real’ East End of the capital. Within the archive are over twenty thousand texts, including books and pamphlets dating from the 17th Century through to the present day. The library also contains a ‘shipping collection’ dedicated to the London Docks and the rise and fall of the trading there.
