Established in 1933, by William Chandler. Walthamstow Stadium is still run by his descendants and now has the largest course attendance and gambling turnover in the UK. Today Walthamstow has greyhound racing several nights of the week, and also several daytime races. The facility also incorporates a restaurant and a night club called Charle Chans. Vinnie Jones is apparently a regular race attendee! The crowd capacity is 5,000 and there is parking for 1,000 cars.
