Founded in 1908 this club was originally known as Wimbledon Town Golf Club. There is a great tradition of playing golf on Wimbledon Common, none more than at this club. Founded by the townspeople of the borough, it prides itself on being an accessible source to golf for everyone, regardless of their means or social status. The course runs along the northern edge of Wimbledon Common and is extremely popular with both locals and tourists alike. The club has excellent facilities off course too, such as a bar, restaurant and pro-shop.
