Winn’s Common is a large area of common land on the edge of Woolwich. It has for many generations been a place of rest and relaxation for the people of the area and its visitors. The common has been left to lay fallow in places and is well wooded which attracts a fine a variety of wild life and plant life to the inner city area. Some play sports on the common, but generally it is a tranquil and peaceful environment.
