Bryn Cader Faner is a small cairn standing above a Bronze Age track that stretched from Llanbedr to Trawsfynydd. Although small, the upright, outward leaning stones being only a litle over three feet high, the design of the monument is dramatically impressive in its wild moorland setting. It is thought to be a Bronze Age burial site rather than a ceremonial crcle. A map is essential to find the cairn, which can be approached on foot from Harlech, Talsarnau or Llandecwyn.
