Caernarfon`s small maritime museum houses an intriguing collection of artefacts, pictures and information relating the town`s maritime history. Exhibitions include fishing, the Menai Strait ferries, Caernarfon`s export trades, imports, emigration and ship building. The story of Ellen Edwards, who ran a maritime school in Caernarfon school in the 19th Century, is not forgotten. Outside the building is the huge anchor of HMS Conwy which ran aground in the Menai Strait in 1956.
