Chirk is a small town overlooking the border of Wales with England. Nearby is the Shropshire Union Canal with the Chirk Aqueduct which was built by Thomas Telford. It crosses the Ceiriog Valley and above it runs the impressive Chirk Railway Viaduct. A walk through parkland leads to Chirk Castle, now owned by the National Trust.
