The parish church of St Mary & St Nicholas is a fine, well preserved church dating from the early 14th Century. Beaumaris was a garrison town and the building is reminiscent of English churches. It was enlarged in the 15th Century when it was embattled, and more restoration took place in the 19th Century. In the porch is the stone coffin of Princess Joan, daughter of King John and wife of Llywelyn the Great. Inside is a 15th Century table tomb of the local Bulkeley family. It is thought the choir stalls may have come from Llanfaes Friary.
