Coedydd Aber is a National Nature Reserve located between Snowdonia`s mountains and the North Wales coastal plain. Known for its varied woodlands consisting of oak, ash, birch and alder, the valley`s open glades are a mass of bluebells in spring. Near the main path leading to Rhaeadr Fawr (the big waterfall), are the outbuildings of the Bwthyn y Nant smallholding, and inside one of them is a small exhibition about the valley. The reserve can be accessed from a car park in the lane heading inland from Abergwyngregyn.
