ConwyTown Walls contain some of the finest sections of medieval walls in Britain. The defences date from the time the castle was built in the late 13th Century, when Edward I conquered Wales. The three quarter mile circuit is largely intact with 21 towers, and it is possible to walk on top of some sections of the walls. Near the upper gate are splendid views over the town. Adjacent to mill gate are a group of twelve neat latrines.
