One of the most popular walks around Beddgelert is the route through Cwm Bychan. This lovely valley has woodlands, a waterfall, rocky heather covered hillsides and, from the top of the pass, stunning views of Llyn Dinas and Snowdon. Near the path are remains of copper mines worked from the late 18th Century until the 1930s. The pylons were part of an aerial ropeway for carrying buckets of ore. There is a car park at the start of the path on the A4085 near the hamlet of Nantmor.
