This nature reserve on the north Wales coast is a great place for watching birds. A raised path runs through the salt marsh where shelduck and other ducks feed, and on the seaward side of the marsh is a shingle ridge and spit. The spit is an important roost for waders in the winter, and several thousand oystercatchers roost here. There is no access to the spit in the breeding season. A wide, level path to the reserve starts from the beach car park in Llanfairfechan.
