This is Gwynedd’s only general museum. The collection has an exciting archaeological collection including a rare Roman sword, flints from the Neolithic axe factory at Graig Lwyd and decorated Medieval tiles from Llanfaes. There is also a large collection of items relating to Welsh social history including furniture and textiles. In the gallery there is a varied programme of temporary exhibitions by local, national and internationally renowned artists. There is also a shop full of quality crafts. Admission if free.
