Overlooking Llandudno Bay, Happy Valley Gardens is a popular place to relax on a warm summer`s day. From Victorian times until the 1970s there was a succession of small open air theatres in this lovely valley. The earliest were canvas tents followed by a wooden theatre, but it burnt down in 1933. Its successor suffered the same fate in the 1970s and wasn`t replaced. From the top of the gardens a path climbs to the lower slopes of the Great Orme, a good starting point for walks.
