This unique museum is dedicated to the everyday life of civilians during the 1939-1945 war. A huge collection of items relating to these years are exhibited in an atmospheric gallery of `shop windows` and room displays. From ration books and gas masks to digging for victory and air raids, the museum offers an experience of what it was like to live in Britain during the Second World War. The Home Guard and Women`s Land Army are not forgotten.
