Llanrwst is a small market town in the lush, green Conwy Valley. Spanning the river is an elegant early 17th Century bridge which at one time was the main crossing point of the river. Almshouses in the town are open to visitors and on the far side of the valley stands Gwydir Castle. Llanrwst is a good base for exploring the extensive Gwydir Forest.
