This Neolithic burial chamber is remarkable for its huge capstone measuring about 18 feet by 16 feet. It appears to be lying on the ground, but is supported by several stones. Excavation in 1909 revealed the unburnt bones of between 15 and 30 people in two layers, and pieces of broken Beaker pottery. The tomb would have been covered by a mound of earth or stones. To see it, take the lane signed Din Lligwy from the roundabout south-west of Moelfre.
