Lloyd George, the first World War prime minister, lived as a boy in the little village of Llanystumdwy. His mother brought her family to live with her brother Richard Lloyd, the village shoemaker, when she became a widow. The museum is dedicated to the great statesman and contains an exhibition about his political and personal life. There is a collection of memorabilia and a Victorian schoolroom, also a film to watch. The visit takes in Highgate, the small two-bedroomed house where he lived, and his uncle`s workshop.
