Llyn Gwynant is a beautiful, roadside lake lying in a steep sided, glacial valley below the southern slopes of Snowdon. The descent to Llyn Gwynant, on the A498 from the Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel, offers some of the most spectacular views in Snowdonia. In the valley, unfenced stretches enable tourists to enjoy the lake`s shore. There is a footpath running above the north side of the lake, and a good, circular walk can be taken from the car park at Pont Bethania.
