The famous Menai Straits Bridge is an attraction in its own right. Thomas Telford’s chain bridge over the Menai Straits was completed in 1825 and quickly became an attraction for technically inclined tourists. The bridge comes into a life of its own as the lights are switched on each evening - a truly pleasurable experience. There are walks along the Straits too, which are a constant delight for bird watchers and nature enthusiasts.
