Moel Hebog towers over the little village of Beddgelert, enticing hillwalkers to take the steep, rough trail to its 2565 feet summit. The effort is well worthwhile as, on a clear day, the views take in not only Snowdon, Moel Siabod, Cnicht and other peaks, but extend westwards to Cardigan Bay and the beautiful Lleyn peninsula. the usual route is via Cwm Cloch, and most walkers return the same way, although the ridge can be followed over Moel yr Ogof and Moel Lefn, returning on forest tracks.
