Moel Siabod is a vast, isolated peak lying to the south of Capel Curig. It stands alone, aloof from any other mountain groups, and its 2860 foot summit is a superb viewpoint taking in Snowdon, Moel Hebog and the Glyder and Moelwyn ranges. The easiest ascent is from a footpath starting on the A4086 between Plas y Brenin and Llynnau Mymbyr. Other routes start from Pont Cyfyng on the A5 south-east of Capel Curig, and Dolwyddelan.
