These very small, but interesting, Roman Baths are hidden away in a cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Prestatyn. The site is well cared for, and the hot room (caldarium), tepid (tepidarium), cold room (frigidarium) and plunge bath are clearly visible. It is thought the baths were in use for about 40 years, from AD 120 to AD 160. The site does not appear to have been a fort, but it was probably connected with Roman lead mining that took place in the area. Melyd Avenue is off the A547, in the direction of Rhuddlan.
