Every year, in the first week of July, Llangollen hosts its famous International Musical Eisteddfod in the Royal Pavilion. Over 2000 competitors from more than fifty countries take part in this festival of music, song and dance. As well as this spectacular festival, a variety of concerts and other special events take place in the pavilion throughout the year, including antique fairs, exhibitions and workshops. Other facilities include a gallery and craft showcase. The Royal Pavilion is only a few hundred yards from Llangollen town centre, where there are several car parks.
