Ruthin is a small town in the Vale of Clwyd. It is here that Owain Glyndwr launched his rebellion in 1400. The castle ruins are now the site of a 19th Century mansion. There are some interesting old buildings, including the medieval Nantclwyd House and the old gaol which is now a museum. Near the river is an attractive park.
