Named after a 6th Century Saint, St Trillo’s Chapel is one of the smallest chapels in the British Isles. With room to seat six people, this place of worship was built on the site of an ancient spring where the water was thought to have healing properties and has been used in many baptisms over the centuries. Constructed of stone and mortar with a heavy wooden door, a simple alter stands above the spring and St Trillo himself is depicted in one of the chapel’s two small stained glass windows.
