Crowning the eastern peak of the Yr Eifl mountains, Tre`r Ceiri is one of the most spectacular Iron Age hill forts in Britain. It lies at 1500 feet above sea level and from its summit, occupied by a Bronze age cairn, are stunning views of the Lleyn peninsula and coastline. Surrounded by high rampart walls, the interior of the fort contains 150 stone huts, many with walls several feet high. The shortest route to the fort is the footpath on the B4417, east of Llithfaen.
