On the far side of the bridge spanning the River Conwy stands a charming old cottage covered with Virginia creeper. It was built in the 17th Century as a farmhouse and served as a Court of Sessions under the Wynns of Gwydir Castle. The roof dormers were added in the 18th Century. In the parlour, near the door, a mark indicates the height reached by the river`s floods. Tu Hwnt i`r Bont is now a tearoom owned by the National Trust.
