Ty Mawr Country Park is set in a beautiful location above the River Dee. Farm animals such as donkeys, goats and Jacob sheep graze in the wildflower meadows. Alongside the park is the spectacular Cefn Viaduct which carries the Chester to Shrewsbury railway line across the valley. The park is a good place for family picnics, and there is a visitor centre where children can buy bags of food to feed some of the livestock. Footpaths lead to the River Dee and a longer walk to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
