Lived near Altrincham for approximately 15 years. It's one of the better Manchester suburbs and a reasonably affluent area. Has an ice rink (I believe Torvill & Dean used to train there), good shopping and some enjoyable places to visit on the outskirts (eg. Dunham Massey and Tatton Park).
