Chetham Library is an important part of the community and holds a large range of texts, audio and visual equipment, which cross a range of subjects. The library does not only hold books; it is a place of cultural exchange and on a fairly regular basis hosts exhibitions of local artists and craftspeople as well as being a forum in which speakers can give lectures.
