Quakers have worshipped on this site since 1677, with the current building dating from 1708. It was restored to its full glory in 1969. In the porch you will find the tombstone of Lancaster’s first Quaker, John Lawson, who was converted by George Fox in 1652. Today the gardens are open all day for anyone to enjoy, and there is a time for worship twice a week. Everyone is welcome.
