Occupying an entire block, bordered by Drury Lane, Brunswick, Fenwick and Water Street, this magnificent building takes its inspiration from the extensive travels of its designer Herbert Rowse. Today, it is home to the Passport Office and many other businesses but was originally built between 1924 and 1932 for the Blue Funnel shipping line. A marvellous example of architecture and style, its gilded, jewel like canopied ceiling – viewable from the lobby in all its glory - is well worth admiring.
