I love dusting off old documents and trying to discover new information and maybe even to find something exciting from the past, so a visit to the John Rylands Library with its over four million books is a great place to try. This place was founded in honour of Manchester cotton magnate John Rylands and what a beautiful building it is too and I think it must rate as one of the prettiest libraries in the United Kingdom. Well worth a visit even if you’re just planning to have a look around let alone do some research.
