Built in the 15th Century, and rebuilt in the 16th, the Judge’s Lodgings have housed many people associated with the legal system, including the notorious Thomas Covell, witch-hunter and Keeper of The Castle during the trial of the Pendle Witches. The building also houses a gallery dedicated to the Gillows family, furniture makers during the 18th and 19th Centuries, and the Museum Of Childhood, with a collection of 18th Century dolls, games and toys. Guided tours are available.
