Blackburn in Lancashire has a long and illustrious textile industrial history and this museum explores how this started and how it developed. The museum has many fine artefacts on display that relate to the production of textiles, and follows the process from start to finish. Focussing on the bigger picture, as well as the lives of the people who worked here, the museum is a political and social portrait of old Lancashire.
