This windmill was built in 1805 on what is now called Lytham Green, and has since that time been one of the most recognisable landmarks in the region. The mill was in constant daily use until 1909 when the majority of the internal machinery was destroyed by a devastating fire. The mill is now home to a permanent heritage museum dedicated to local life and industry.
