This museum was the brainchild of Margaret Greenall and opened in 1915, bringing together a wealth of archaeological finds related to the Roman world. The museum was completely overhauled in 2001, making it larger and more accessible. The collection is divided into a series of fascinating exhibitions, each focussing on a different area of antiquities. There are exhibitions of coins, weapons, tools, potters and human remains to name just a few pieces in this excellent museum.
