Housed in the former Midland Railway Goods Depot, built in the 1870s, this museum is the first conservation centre of its type in this country. The exhibition shows how conservationists can spot the secrets within buildings and help to restore them to their former glory. There are a range of interactive exhibits that allow visitors to earn more about this process and the people involved.
