The North Pier was opened in May 1863, and was extending not long afterwards. Over time, like all piers, it has sustained damage from fire and collisions, but this has led to a rolling programme of extensions and improvements that led to the unique feel of the pier today. The pier has several bars, a beer garden, a 1500-seat theatre, and an amusement arcade. The pier attracts some of the top names in pier-end entertainment, and you’re assured of a good time!
