Oldham is a large town situated about eight miles to the north-east of Manchester. It is set in the beautiful Pennine Hills and dates back to 865AD. The town was a centre of the textile industry in medieval times and in the 19th Century, it became a leading cotton spinning town. Today, Oldham is very popular with shoppers.
