The Peter Scott Gallery was founded in 1974 and opened to the public in 1975, and makes up the official art collection of the University of Lancaster. Moving to its current position on the northern side of the campus in 1988, the gallery has quickly become renowned as one of the most influential contemporary art spaces in northern England. There is a concentration on developing skills of students' work from across the world here.
