The Port Sunlight War Memorial is one of the largest and finest war memorials outside of London and a fitting centrepiece to the village of Port Sunlight. It is a Grade II Listed, made of granite, and surrounded by fine bronze sculptures which show women and children, with men as protectors. Designed by Sir W. Goscimbe John, it is a genuinely moving memorial and is today looked after by the Port Sunlight Village Trust. Photograph courtesy of Terry Horton.
