Port Sunlight is a beautiful garden village which was founded in 1888 by successful soap manufacturer William Hesketh Lever. The village was named after his famous soap and was specifically designed to house his factory workers. Nearly thirty architects were employed to create and design Port Sunlight. The village is now a designated Conservation Area.
