The Ruskin Library is owned by the University of Lancaster, but is open to the general public seven days a week, not only holding an extensive selection of texts and literature, but many important works of art. The building is an impressive piece of modern architecture, designed by eminent architect Richard MacCormac. It was opened by HRH Princess Alexandra in 1998.
