This museum opened its doors to the public for the first time in 1962, and is situated within a fantastic Victorian mill. The collections within the museum are well presented and wide-ranging. Highlights include the Soldiers of Castelshaw Roman Fort, the merchants of Victorian Saddleworth, brass bands exhibition and Morris Men displays. This entire collection put together helps to tell the story of this interesting place.
