Stockport Museum is set in the beautiful Vernon Park, and is surrounded by some of the most delightful parkland in the area. The historic building contains a great many of its original 19th Century fittings and is home to an extensive local history collection. Highlights of the museum include an archaeological display that shows the origins of life in the region and a costume gallery with traditional dress throughout the ages.
