Western Approaches is the Liverpool War Museum and is located within the very streets that were bombed during the Second World War at the heart of the city. The museum gives visitors a unique opportunity to live through the terrors of an air raid, surrounded by real period pieces, gasmasks and an Anderson Shelter. The original sea command station is reconstructed within this labyrinth of rooms and tunnels beneath the city.
