Witton Country Park offers four hundred and eighty acres of beautiful woodland, parkland and farmland to the west of Blackburn. The estate was once owned by the Feilden family, who built Witton House, the early 19th Century manor house that formed the centrepiece of the land, before being demolished in 1952. The estate was designated a country park in 1973, and since that time has been one of the most popular visitor attractions in the area.
